Course Overview
Math 10-3 is designed to provide students with the mathematical understandings and critical thinking skills identified for entry into the majority of trades and for direct entry into the workforce. The main goals are to prepare students to:
- Use mathematics confidently to solve problems
- Communicate and reason mathematically
- Appreciate and value mathematics
- Become mathematically literate adults, using mathematics to contribute to society

Course Mapping
Lessons
Student learning throughout Math 10-3 is primarily based on video lessons. Students will be required to watch numerous instructional videos that will present required theory, calculations and concepts. Students will practice and improve their skills by completing various assignments and practice activities. At the conclusion of learning, quizzes and exams will be completed.

Assessment
Ultimately, assessment will be up to the teacher that is overseeing student progress. However, a potential weighting of this course can be found on the course outline below
Students need to be aware that NOT ALL work will be used in calculation of final marks. This does not mean that work can be omitted or not completed. Student work in Math 10-3 will be categorized as either "formative" or "summative".
