Summative Assessment - How it Works
Summative assessment requires students to complete five assignments that assess whether they have met the Learning Outcomes of Chinese Language and Culture 10. Students will be required to complete some of the work prior to participating in the trip to China, some while they are on the trip and some after the trip. Some of the work they will need to complete after the trip will be based on the information collected on the trip.
Project #1: Analyis of Itinerary (15% of Summative Assessment) (Complete prior to the trip).
Project #2: Team Assignments (15% of Summative Assessment) (Complete During the Trip)
Project #3: Daily Journal and Critique of the Itinerary (20% of Summative Assessment) (Complete During the Trip)
Project #4: Thematic Photo Journal (25% of Summative Assessment) (Complete after the Trip).
Project #5: Metacognitive Review of Units One to Five (25% of Summative Assessment) (Complete after the Trip).
